We will take on our discussion further when we were discussing on several ED Drug products, yesterday. We were taking a sneak-view on the present ED prescription drugs market in the current situation. I am convinced that Viagra the largest selling drug for Erectile Dysfunction treatment will be hampered in US no sooner Cialis comes into picture. That has happened in Europe where the drug grabbed almost 35% of the share in the market.

When Pfizer introduced Viagra in 1998 – it took the world by storm. First of all many men were unaware that there is anything called ED problem. Weak erection was taken for granted and sex after 50+ was only once a while. But that’s changed now. For prolonged sexual encounter – even in old age – Viagra have changed the fortunes. It was a dynamic revolution for those coping with ED problem.

But before Cialis came into screenshot – Bayer’s Levitra was already making raves in US. The drug was already producing better efficiency than Viagra during clinical trials. Viagra was offering about 4-6 hours window for sex after one takes the pill. For Levitra the window pane was raised to almost 8-hours. Hence Levitra online and offline sales suddenly was very competitive. It was a major threat to the dominance of Viagra. And with arrival of Cialis – it all came down to three-way dual.

But the actual war is taking place on Internet. The online prescription drugs bazaar is really steaming up. A majority of these ED Drugs are sold through Internet marketing. Sales of Viagra online in particular have been phenomenal. According to an estimate almost 60% of the entire ED Drug sale is via online marketing. Thus Viagra online is quite easily available now. Several pharmacies are offering heavy discounts as well to promote their sales.

Likewise sales of Cialis online in Europe might have surpassed that of Viagra and Levitra. According to a recent study the number unit (tablet) sales as in August this year Cialis had a 29% share in Germany, 28% in France, 28% in Italy and 19% in Spain. In the U.K., where adoption is historically slower than the remainder of Europe, Cialis had a 15% share. This was between the competitive sales of Cialis, Levitra and Viagra in Europe.

But all this market-war is for the greater good of the buyer. Buyers can purchase drugs from wider choice-bracket. One may buy Viagra, Cialis or Levitra – whichever suits him best. User can analyze the cost and go for the best deal in terms of money saving.
